Access to the university
By air
Narita International Airport is approximately 40 minutes from the KUIS campus. Airport limousine stops are located conveniently at the nearby hotels, 5 minutes by car from the campus. Haneda Airport is also only 100 minutes from the campus by airport limousine.
By train
Train journeys from central Tokyo take around 40 minutes (This website will help you to calculate train travel times). The university is near 4 train stations:
JR Keiyo-line: Kaihin-Makuhari station, 15 minute walk. Take the North Exit, turn left, and use the elevated pedestrian walkway.
JR Sobu-line: Makuhari station, 20 minute walk
JR Sobu-line: Makuhari-Hongo station, 15 minutes by bus
Keisei-line: Keisei-Makuhari station, 15 minute walk
Bus from Kaihin-Makuhari Station to Kanda University:
Take the North Exit, the number 22 bus leaves from stand no.3 (outside Tully’s Coffee).
Bus Times: 05, 25, 45 past each hour.
Get off at the Kanda Gaigo Daigaku bus stop
Bus from Makuhari-Hongo Station to Kanda University:
#22 Bus times: 15, 35, 55 past each hour.
#21 Bus times: (less frequent – leaves once every hour, 00 or 10)
Get off at the Kanda Gaigo Daigaku bus stop
By car
Higashi-Kanto Expressway: 5 minutes from Wangan-Narashino I.C. exit (Exit for Tokyo direction traffic only), and Wangan-Chiba I.C. exit (Exit for Narita direction traffic only). Keiyo Expressway: 5 minutes from Makuhari I.C. exit.
